Respondus 2

is an application for creating and managing exams that can be printed on paper or published directly to Blackboard, eCollege, WebCT and other course management systems.

Directions for using Respondus

1. Open Respondus and select "Create"

2. Create a new file - give it a name and a brief description  
3. You are  now at the edit question screen.  Select Multiple Choice. After you add your Question wording and your possible answers make sure that you select the correct answer and a point value.

4. To add another question - Select "add to End of List"   
5. After you have completed making your Quiz or Exam you will need to Publish the Quiz to your course authoring web site.

 

Select the Preview & Publish tab (near top of screen) and follow the directions for adding a new server.

6. In your Blackboard account (or eCollege) you are going to place its Complete web address into Step #1 (do this by copying and pasting the complete URL.

 In Step #2, place the address for the "Control Panel" page

For Step #3,  just select Extract ( the program will add the necessary data)

The remaining areas must be added manually:

Description: You add a sever name that will help you identity the server.

Version: Blackboard 5.x

User name and Password of your blackboard account

Do not select Remember my password if you are using a public computer

 

Useful features of Respondus

1. Permits you to import a file (i.e.. a word document saved as text file or rtf) that contains a quiz format into Respondus.  To learn more about the Import feature - click on the question mark (top of screen) and in the Index find importing questions

 

 

 

2. You are able to randomize the question order.  Go to Preview & Publish and select Print Options.
